Visit modern and UNESCO World Cultural Heritage historic districts of Lima and see the Museum of Italian Art, Palace of Justice, Museum of Lima, Plaza San Martín, among others. Do a walking tour of Plaza de Armas, surrounded by emblematic buildings such as the Government Palace, the Cathedral and the Archbishop’s Palace. Grab the opportunity to see Convent of Santo Domingo, also declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity where the relics of Peruvian saints Santa Rosa de Lima, San Martín de Porres and San Juan Macías are found. You will also visit Rafael Larco Herrera Museum, which exhibits a valuable collection of almost 45,000 pieces of pre-Hispanic cultures, especially the Mochicas.

Machu Picchu awaits us! Our tour will begin at Aguas Calientes via train, also known as the famous Machu Picchu Pueblo where a picturesque town at the foot of the emblematic Inca citadel is located. During the train ride, enjoy the views of Vilcanota river and small towns of the Peruvian Andes. From Aguas Calientes by bus, be in awe of the one of Seven Wonders of the Modern World! From there you will discover ancient ruins and the mythical history this place holds. Once we are done feasting the beauty of this wonder, we will return to Aguas Calientes to have lunch and explore the town for a while before boarding the return train.

DAY 1 | Mexico arrival

Arrival to Mexico City. Pick up at the airport by our guide who will help with the transfer to the hotel.

DAY 2 | Half day Mexico City tour & National Museum of Anthropology

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will explore magnificent Mexico City, built by the Spanish on the ruins of Tenochtitlan, the old Aztec capital. The city’s historical heart is its vast central square, or El Zocalo, and on this tour, you’ll also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, which is the largest church in all of Latin America. You’ll also drive along the famous boulevard Paseo de la Reforma, built during the short –lived reign of Emperor Maximilian to connect the main square and his castle in Chapultepec. You’ll also visit the National Palace, which hosts Diego Rivera’s murals depicting the history of Mexico, and is one of the oldest government seats in the world. Our last stop is the Museum of Anthropology, where we will have some time to explore the treasures of the Aztec culture at one of the finest archaeological museums in the world. Lunch at local restaurant.
NOTE: The Museum of Anthropology is closed on Mondays.

DAY 3 | Teotihuacan Pyramids, Plaza de las 3 Culturas & Guadalupe Shrine

Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to the impressive archaeological site of Teotihuacan, located 50km northeast of Mexico City. On the way, we make a stop at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where three cultures converge: Aztec, Spanish, and contemporary Mexican. We continue to the Basilica de Guadalupe, Latin America’s most revered religious shrine. It is here where the Virgin of Guadalupe is said to have appeared before an Indian named Juan Diego in 1531, and an image of her was miraculously emblazoned on his cloak. We will have time to explore the New Basilica de Guadalupe (the Old Basilica, built in 17 00, is slowly sinking) and to see Juan Diego’s cloak. We then drive for another hour to Teotihuacan, one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world, held sacred by the Aztecs. We will explore its temples, palaces and pyramids, including the Quetzalpapalotl Palace Complex, the Temple of the Feathered Conches, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the immense Pyramid of the Sun, ranked among the biggest in the world. Lunch included at local restaurant.

DAY 1 | Merida arrival

At your arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Merida.

DAY 2 | Full day Uxmal & Kabah Archaeological Site

Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the archaeological site of Uxmal, a World Heritage Site, and located 80km south of Merida. Its architecture is characterized by low horizontal palaces set around courtyards, decorated with a profusion of symbolic motifs and sculptures depicting the long-nosed rain god Chaac. We will explore the magnificent buildings, including the House of the Magician – which dominates the site, the Nunnery, and the House of Turtles. We continue to Kabah, with its amazing Palace of the Masks, covered in nearly 300 masks of Chaac.

DAY 3 | Merida – Izamal city tour – Chichen Itza

Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to Izamal, located 70km east of Merida. In ancient times, Izamal was a centre for the worship of the supreme Mayan god, Itzamna, and the sun god, Kinich-Kakmo. A dozen temple pyramids were devoted to these gods. Perhaps these bold expressions of religiosity are why the Spanish colonists chose Izamal as the site for an enormous Franciscan monastery – the Convento de San Antonio de Padua – which today stands at the heart of the town. We will visit the impressive monastery, the Mayan ruins, and the streets of this quiet, colonial gem, nicknamed “La Ciudad Amarilla” (the yellow city) for the traditional yellow that most buildings are painted in. Then transfer to your hotel in Chichen Itza.

DAY 4 | Chichen Itza Archaeological Site & Ik Kil Cenote

Breakfast at the hotel. The archaeological site of Chichen Itza – one of the New 7 Wonders of the World – is the best restored of Yucatan’s Mayan sites. We will explore the magnificent ruins set in a dense jungle, including the Pyramid of Kukulcan – its height and striking geometric design dominating the whole site, the Great Ball Court – the largest and most impressive in Mesoamerica, the Sacred Cenote – a natural well used for human sacrifice, and many other beautiful temples. Including light and sound show. We will visit the Cenote (sinkhole) Ik Kil which is located near the site, this cenote is open to the sky adorned with vegetation surface, from where we can see the depth, the descent is by a stone staircase where we will find some balconies that allow us to admire the beauty from different points. Then transfer to your hotel in Chichen Itza.

DAY 5 | Chichen Itza- Valladolid- Tulum

Today, we arrive at Baltra Island, the gateway to the Galápagos and home to the world’s first ecological airport. From here, we ferry to Santa Cruz Island and drive to our exclusive giant tortoise reserve at Magic Galápagos Tented Camp. Nestled on a hillside with breathtaking views, the camp offers peaceful surroundings and seasonal giant tortoise residents. Enjoy stunning sunsets, delicious three-course dinners, and explore natural lava tubes at the unique ‘Lava Lounge’. Check-in at the camp is at 3pm; earlier arrivals can explore Puerto Ayora and have lunch before transfer.

Start in Downtown (“Centro”) and take the tram (“bondinho”) to the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa, crossing the iconic Arcos da Lapa aqueduct. Explore Santa Teresa’s narrow cobblestone streets and visit Ruins Park for panoramic views of the city and Sugarloaf Mountain. Next, walk down the colorful Selarón Steps to Lapa, known for its vibrant nightlife. Day 1: San Jose arrival

Day 3: Mistico Arenal Hanging Bridges Park

Breakfast at the hotel. The tour begins once you get picked up at your hotel in La Fortuna. This walk is a fun and educative option to learn more about the forest and the local environment and enjoy close contact with nature. While walking along the trails, the fascinating world of the tropical forest will open to you. Along these three kilometers of trails, you will be immersed in the diverse fauna and flora of the rainforest, admiring colorful birds and tropical plant species
that will be pointed out and explained by your naturalist guide. More than 50 species of birds have been counted in the area.

Length: 3.2 km (short version 1.9 km).
Duration: 2.5 hours approximately.

Day 4: Transfer Arenal – Monteverde (shared lake crossing).

This service, half transfer and half excursion, is a fast and scenic way to go from La Fortuna (Arenal area) to Monteverde. You will leave your hotel in La Fortuna, to start a minibus trip for approximately 30 minutes to the Arenal Lake.

Once at the dam, you will board a comfortable and safe pontoon-type boat, and after a 30–40-minute journey you will arrive at Chiquito River, a small community on the other side of the lake.

Arenal Lake is the largest and most important in Costa Rica, it is of artificial origin built in 1974 in order to obtain hydroelectric power for the country. It is also a place where you can find a variety of resident and migratory birds, sometimes it is possible to observe mammals like monkeys and sloths in the surroundings of the place, as well as excellent views of the Arenal Volcano when it is not cloudy.

Once in Chiquito River, you will leave the boat and continue another land transfer of approximately 1.5 hours to the hotels in the Monteverde area. (During the rainy season, this transfer may take longer). It is recommended to wear long pants, coat, comfortable shoes, camera, binoculars, sunscreen and waterproof.

Day 5: Tour to Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve – Transfer Monteverde – San Jose

Breakfast at hotel. Visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, is one of the most famous conservation areas in Central America. It is a tropical rain forest but because of its altitude (1400 meters or 4.600 feet), it’s called a Cloud Forest. A cloud forest is a highland forest characterized by nearly 100% humidity throughout the year. Here in Monteverde, warm north-easterly trade winds, filled with moisture, blow in from the Atlantic. As the winds sweep up to the Continental Divide, they cool and condense to form clouds, bathing the forest in a constant soft mist. The cloud forest receives an incredible four meters of rain every year- over twelve feet! It is home to rare and unusual wildlife, such as jaguars and pumas, and over 450 species of birds including the world’s largest population of quetzal birds. We will take you back to the hotel where you will have time for lunch (not included) before
departing back to San Jose.

Day 1: Mexico arrival

Day 2: Half day Mexico City tour & National Museum of Anthropology

Breakfast at the hotel. Today we will explore magnificent Mexico City, built by the Spanish on the ruins of Tenochtitlan, the old Aztec capital. The city’s historical heart is its vast central square, or El Zocalo, and on this tour, you’ll also visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, which is the largest church in
all of Latin America. You’ll also drive along the famous boulevard Paseo de la Reforma, built during the short –lived reign of Emperor Maximilian to connect the main square and his castle in Chapultepec. You’ll also visit the National Palace, which hosts Diego Rivera’s murals depicting the history of Mexico, and is one of the oldest government seats in the world. Our last stop is the Museum of Anthropology, where we will have some time to explore the treasures of the Aztec culture at one of the finest archaeological museums in the world. Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 3: Teotihuacan Pyramids, Plaza de las 3 Culturas & Guadalupe Shrine

Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to the impressive archaeological site of Teotihuacan, located 50km northeast of Mexico City. On the way, we make a stop at the Plaza de las Tres Culturas, where three cultures converge: Aztec, Spanish, and contemporary Mexican. We continue to the Basilica de Guadalupe, Latin America’s most revered religious shrine. It is here where the Virgin of Guadalupe is said to have appeared before an Indian named Juan Diego in 1531, andan image of her was miraculously emblazoned on his cloak. We will have time to explore the New Basilica de Guadalupe (the Old Basilica, built in 17 00, is slowly sinking) and to see Juan Diego’s cloak. We then drive for another hour to Teotihuacan, one of the most impressive cities of the ancient world, held sacred by the
Aztecs. We will explore its temples, palaces and pyramids, including the Quetzalpapalotl Palace Complex, the Temple of the Feathered Conches, the Pyramid of the Moon, and the immense Pyramid of the Sun, ranked among the biggest in the world. Lunch included at local restaurant.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Merida arrival

At your arrival, our guide will meet you at the airport and you’ll be transferred to your hotel in Merida.

Overnight in: Merida at selected hotel.

Day 2: Full day Uxmal & Kabah Archaeological Site.

Breakfast at the hotel. We will visit the archaeological site of Uxmal, a World Heritage Site, and located 80km south of Merida. Its architecture is characterized by low horizontal palaces set around courtyards, decorated with a profusion of symbolic motifs and sculptures depicting the long-nosed rain god Chaac. We will explore the magnificent buildings, including the House of the Magician – which dominates the site, the Nunnery, and the House of Turtles. We continue to Kabah, with its amazing Palace of the Masks, covered in nearly 300 masks of Chaac.

Day 3: Merida – Izamal city tour – Chichen Itza

Breakfast at the hotel. We will drive to Izamal, located 70km east of Merida. In ancient times, Izamal was a centre for the worship of the supreme Mayan god, Itzamna, and the sun god, Kinich-Kakmo. A dozen temple pyramids were devoted to these gods. Perhaps these bold expressions of religiosity are why the Spanish colonists chose Izamal as the site for an enormous Franciscan monastery – the Convento de San Antonio de Padua – which today stands at the heart of the town. We will visit the impressive monastery, the Mayan ruins, and the streets of this quiet, colonial gem, nicknamed “La Ciudad Amarilla” (the yellow city) for the traditional yellow that most buildings are painted in. Then transfer to your hotel in Chichen Itza.

Day 4: Chichen Itza Archaeological Site & Ik Kil Cenote

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of Chichen-Itza (UNESCO World Heritage) being one of the most important cities of Mayan culture, where you can admire the Kukulcán Pyramid, the Ball game court and the Observatory. This imposing group of temples, tombs and palaces is thought to have been founded about AD 600, with additions in the 10th century, and is the most complete Mayan city in Mexico. Visit the nearby Cenote Ik-kil, only about 2 km from Chichen-Itza, also known as Holy Blue Cenote, round like a circle and open like a dwell in a tropical surrounding and small water falls. Here you can also take a bath.

Day 5: Chichen Itza- Valladolid- Tulum

Breakfast at the hotel. drive to Valladolid for a city tour of this Magic Village, once the Maya ceremonial center of Zaci before falling to the Spaniards. Then continue to Tulum, the rest of the day is free for leisure. Tulum is located 75 miles (120 km) from Cancun at the southern end of the Riviera Maya and known as the only site of a Mayan fortress at the coast. The tiny rustic village near the ruin site is booming and dominated by mostly small and rustic guesthouses and hip boutique hotels located at the shore overlooking the sea, while north of the ruin site nestle some larger all-
inclusive resorts.

Day 6: Full day Tulum Archaeological Site

Breakfast at the hotel. Excursion to the Mayan Tulum Archeological site, once a fortress on the coast, which castle and temple prove the influences of Toltec’s and other cultures. Afterward drive to a local beach club for lunch and free time to enjoy the beach.

Day 7: Tulum departure

Breakfast at the hotel. At scheduled time, we will transfer you to the airport in Cancun for your departure flight.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Mexico City arrival

After leaving the security area (immigrations and customs) at Mexico City airport “Benito Juarez” , welcome by your bilingual guide and transfer to your hotel at downtown. Transportation by modern air-conditioned motor coach, the porter service at the airport is included.

Day 2: Mexico City- Guadalupe Shrine & Mass

Breakfast at the hotel. FD Tour to visit the Shrine of Guadalupe, the centre of Indian Catholic worship in Mexico. On the way, stop at the Square of the 3 Cultures. This area is important as it symbolizes the unique blend of pre-Hispanic and Hispanic cultures that make up Mexico. Mass at the Basilica and time for reflection.

On top the Chapel of Tepeyac has been built during the 18th century at the site where God’s mother shall have appeared to Juan Diego. In its interior frescos can be seen representing this miracle. On the top of Tepeyac hill you can enjoy a nice view on clear
days.

One special stop is La Capilla del Pocito (Chapel of the Little Well) – a well which reputedly opened under the feet of the Virgin. It is considered an architectural jewel due to the richness and plasticity of its elements of purest baroque style (built 1777).

Day 3: Mass at Tulpetlac Church- Visit to Teotihuacan Pyramids

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Tulpetlac to have Mass at the Shrine, where Juan Diego’s uncle Juan Bernardino was cured. There is a miraculous well at this site. As we continue north to the Pyramids of Teotihuacan (UNESCO World Heritage site), we will see how the City of Mexico has expanded beyond imagination. Finally, we reach San Juan Teotihuacan. You will gaze at the size of the mighty Pyramid of the Sun, bigger in volume than the largest pyramid in Egypt. Your guide will explain to you that the zone was already in ruins when the Aztecs founded Mexico City (1325) and how the Teotihuacan culture disappeared. Lunch is included in a typical, local restaurant where you can enjoy international and Mexican dishes alike (beverages not included). After lunch, you will visit the Citadel and temple of Quetzalcoatl. Time is allocated for local curio shopping in the quaint market, followed by our return to Mexico City. Duration: 8 hours.

Day 4: Mexico City – Cuernavaca- Mass at Sta. Prisca church – Taxco

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day tour to Cuernavaca, city of the Eternal Spring to see the Zocalo, the Cortes palace and the Cathedral. The Brady Museum is a house in which this rich and eccentric playboy lived and entertained the jet set of bygone days. The house is part of a Colonial Monastery and is attached to the Cuernavaca Cathedral. It houses a rich collection of Mexican and inter-national art, including an original by Frida Kahlo and other well-known artists.
Then head to Taxco, a picturesque colonial town and capi-tal of the Mexican silver smiths. On arrival guided walking tour to visit the Sta. Prisca Church incl. Mass, the market and the silver bazaars incl. Information about silver proces-sing and time for shopping. Overnight in Taxco

Day 5: Visit of Cholula archaeological site – Mass at Rosario Chapel – Puebla city

Breakfast at the hotel. Continue to Puebla passing the Itzaccihuatl with 5.286 m the 3rd highest mountain of the country. On the way visit of Cholula with the world’s largest pyramid, on top the Church of Our Lady of the Remedies. After arrival in Puebla sightseeing of the colonial city (UNESCO World Heritage), with visits to the Rosario-Chapel (including Mass) and the Cathedral.

Day 6: Puebla- Mexico City- Day at leisure

Breakfast at the hotel. On the way back to Mexico City, return through spectacular mountains with a view of the two most famous peaks covered with eternal snow – considered one of the most beautiful drives in Mexico. The afternoon is free for leisure.

Day 1: Panama City arrival

Arrival to Panama City. Pick up at the airport by the guide who will help with the transfer to the Hotel about 25 minutes away. The bilingual guide will also provide important information regarding the rest of trip. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2: Full day Panama City Tour & Miraflores Locks

After breakfast, the tour starts at the Panama Canal, a magnificent work of engineering, actually the greatest and most expensive human feat of the time. After 30/40 minutes of route, you will reach the Visitor Center of Miraflores Locks, from which you will be able to see closely the ships moving along the canal, and the way it operates. Forthwith, you will visit the Amador Causeway, which offers one of the city’s most spectacular panoramic views. Lunch will be served in a local restaurant.

The tour continues in the Old Quarter of Panama City, the historic center of San Felipe declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1997, thanks to its eclectic fusion of colonial, neoclassic and French architecture. This stop includes a walk in the streets, squares and gravel roads and a visit of emblematic colonial buildings, churches and palaces. The tour ends at the Executive Mansion (entrance is not guaranteed), known as Palacio de las Garzas (Herons Palace), and famous for maintaining intact the Salon Amarillo (Yellow Hall) and the Salon de los Tamarindos (Tamarind Hall) where the most famous murals of Roberto Lewis representing the history and culture of the country are visible right over there.

Day 3: Full day Tour Embera Quera Native Community

The tour starts early in the morning when we pick you up from your hotel, then we head to Chagres Park, a trip of approximately one hour, once there we will board the boats canoe of our friends the Embera Indians who will transport us from Lake Alajuela to the river Chagres, these two water sources are of great importance for Panama City and the operation of the Panama Canal. During the approximately 40-minute journey, you will be able to observe the splendid jungle and if you are lucky, its monkeys, butterflies, herons and turtles. Upon your arrival you will be welcomed by the Indian chief of the community who will tell you the history of the Tribe and its wealth, culture and its traditions. The Embera are natives of the Darién, who also come from Chocó, Colombia. They live on the banks of the river in small thatched-roof stilt communities called tambos, to counteract humidity and prevent flooding. Men are dedicated to manufacture the famous canoes, canoes made from logs, which are used to navigate even in the dry season. Women make splendid baskets, plates and masks
with plant fibers and delicate fabrics. They wear necklaces known as chaquiras that are made of silver coins.

You will finish the visit to the community and visit a small island inhabited by monkeys.

Afterwards, an epic lunch will be served, followed by a folklore show with music and
dancing traditional.

Day 4: Panama City departure

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Tocumen Airport in time for international flight.
